Kecksburg

Kecksburg is a small village located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is situated in the southwestern part of the state, approximately 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. The village has a population of around 400 residents.

In November 1965, a significant incident occurred in Kecksburg when residents reported seeing a strange object fall from the sky. Witnesses claimed that the object resembled a metal mass, around 9 feet in length, and had a glowing blue light on its surface. The object was said to have landed in a nearby wooded area and was reportedly observed by multiple residents.

The incident gained significant attention in the years that followed, with various theories emerging to explain the object's origin. Some speculated that it was a meteorite, while others believed it was a man-made object, possibly of Russian or extraterrestrial origin.

The United States military took an interest in the incident, and a team of soldiers was dispatched to the area to investigate. Witnesses reported seeing military personnel remove a piece of the object from the woods, which was then taken to a nearby Army barracks for analysis.
