Katete

Katete is a town in eastern Zambia and the administrative center of Katete District in Eastern Province. It lies on the Great East Road, a main highway that connects Lusaka with Chipata and the Malawi border. The town serves as a regional commercial and service center for surrounding rural communities, providing markets, schools, and government services.

The economy of Katete is centered on agriculture and related trade.
