Kasviaiheiset

This lifestyle choice is often adopted for health, environmental, ethical, or religious reasons. The term "kasviaiheiset" is Finnish and translates to "plant-based" in English.

A plant-based diet primarily consists of fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds. It may or may not include dairy and eggs, depending on the individual's preferences and the specific type of vegetarian diet they follow. Ethical reasons for adopting a plant-based diet often revolve around concerns for animal welfare and the treatment of animals in the food industry.

In Finland, the term "kasviaiheiset" has gained traction in recent years, reflecting a growing interest in plant-based lifestyles. This shift is evident in the increasing availability of plant-based products in supermarkets and the rise of vegetarian and vegan restaurants.
