Kartriküttesüsteemid

Kartriküttesüsteemid refer to heating systems that utilize geothermal energy. These systems harness the stable temperature of the earth below the surface to provide heating and cooling for buildings. The fundamental principle involves a network of pipes, known as a ground loop, installed either horizontally or vertically in the ground.

A heat pump is the central component of a kartriküttesüsteem. This device transfers heat between the ground loop and the building's internal distribution system. In winter, the heat pump extracts heat from the relatively warmer earth and transfers it into the building. In summer, the process is reversed, with heat being extracted from the building and dissipated into the cooler earth.

The ground loop contains a fluid, typically a mixture of water and antifreeze, which circulates through the pipes. As this fluid passes through the earth, it absorbs or releases heat. This temperature-modified fluid then returns to the heat pump, where its energy is utilized for climate control.

Kartriküttesüsteemid offer several advantages, including high energy efficiency and reduced operating costs compared to conventional heating and cooling methods. They also have a minimal environmental impact, as they rely on a renewable energy source and produce fewer greenhouse gas emissions. The initial installation cost can be higher than traditional systems, but the long-term savings often justify the investment. The lifespan of these systems is also considerable, typically exceeding 20 years for the heat pump and 50 years for the ground loop.
