Kapasiitiiviset

Kapasiitiiviset refers to something that is capacitive, meaning it relates to or involves capacitance. Capacitance is a fundamental property of electrical components called capacitors, which are designed to store electrical energy in an electric field. A capacitor typically consists of two conductive plates separated by a dielectric material, an insulating substance. When a voltage is applied across the plates, electric charge accumulates on them, one positive and the other negative. The amount of charge a capacitor can store for a given voltage is its capacitance, measured in Farads.

The behavior of a capacitive circuit is characterized by its response to changes in voltage. Unlike resistors, which impede current flow proportionally to voltage, capacitors resist changes in voltage. If the voltage across a capacitor is increasing, it draws current to store charge. Conversely, if the voltage is decreasing, the capacitor releases its stored charge, supplying current. These applications include filtering out unwanted frequencies in electronic signals, smoothing out voltage fluctuations in power supplies, timing circuits, and energy storage in devices like camera flashes and electric vehicle batteries.
