Kantlängen
Kantlängen is not a standard term in contemporary German mathematics and is typically considered a variant or misspelling of Kantenlänge, which denotes edge length. The concept described by Kantlängen corresponds to the lengths of edges in polygons or polyhedra. In a polygon with vertices, the Kantlängen are the distances between consecutive vertices (and the closing edge between the last and first vertex). In a polyhedron, Kantlängen are the lengths of all its edges; a regular solid has equal Kantlängen, while irregular solids have a set of varying Kantlängen.
In practice, Kantlängen are central to many geometric calculations. They determine the perimeter of polygons, influence
Terminology note: standard German terminology prefers Kantenlänge for a single edge and Kantenlängen for multiple edges.
