Kalorienverbrauchs
Kalorienverbrauch refers to the total number of calories the human body burns in a given period, typically a day. This energy expenditure is crucial for maintaining bodily functions and performing physical activities. The total daily energy expenditure can be broadly divided into three main components. The largest portion is the basal metabolic rate (BMR), which accounts for the energy needed to keep the body functioning at rest, such as breathing, circulation, and cell production. The second component is the thermic effect of food (TEF), representing the energy used to digest, absorb, and metabolize nutrients from consumed food. Finally, physical activity, including both planned exercise and non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT), contributes to the remaining calorie expenditure. NEAT encompasses all calorie burning outside of sleeping, eating, and planned exercise, such as fidgeting, walking around, and maintaining posture. Factors influencing an individual's total calorie consumption include age, sex, body weight, body composition, genetics, hormone levels, and environmental conditions. Understanding and tracking calorie consumption is often a key aspect of weight management strategies, aiming to balance energy intake with energy expenditure.
