Kadaster

Kadaster is the Dutch Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency, a government body responsible for registering property and land, recording property rights and other interests in rem, and maintaining the national cadastral map. Its core role is to provide an authoritative register of who owns which parcels of land and what rights attach to them, including mortgages, easements and leases. The cadastral system defines parcel boundaries, assigns cadastral parcel numbers, and underpins land administration and real estate transactions. When a property changes hands, the deed is registered and the Kadaster updates the land registry accordingly.

In addition to ownership, Kadaster maintains geographically referenced information such as topography and parcel maps. It
