KPMG International Cooperative, commonly known as KPMG, is a multinational professional services network and one of the world's largest accounting firms. It provides audit, tax, and advisory services to clients in the public and private sectors, including corporations, governments, and non-profit organizations. As a member firm network, KPMG operates through independent firms that share a common brand and quality standards.

The name KPMG is an acronym of the founding firms: Klynveld, Peat, Marwick, and Goerdeler. The current global organization was formed in 1987 from the merger of Klynveld Main Goerdeler (KMG) and Peat Marwick International. The roots of the network extend back to 19th- and early 20th-century firms in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States.

Services include audit and assurance, tax, and advisory services such as management consulting, deal advisory, risk management, forensic services, and IT advisory.

Global reach: KPMG operates in more than 150 countries and territories with hundreds of thousands of professionals. The network is governed by KPMG International Cooperative, a Swiss-based organization, and its member firms are independently owned and operated.
