Kødprocent refers to the percentage of meat in a food product. This term is commonly used in Denmark and other Scandinavian countries, particularly in the context of sausages, processed meats, and ready-to-eat meals. The kødprocent indicates the proportion of actual muscle tissue from an animal in the final product, distinguishing it from other ingredients like water, fat, fillers, or binders.

Higher kødprocent generally implies a higher quality product with a more intense meat flavor and a firmer texture. Conversely, a lower kødprocent suggests that other ingredients make up a larger portion of the product. Regulations in some countries may stipulate minimum kødprocent for certain types of meat products to ensure consumer information and product standards. Consumers often look at the kødprocent when making purchasing decisions, as it can be an indicator of both taste and value. For example, a sausage with a kødprocent of 80% contains 80 grams of meat per 100 grams of product.
