Käyttäjäkokemusvaatimukset, often abbreviated as UX requirements, are detailed specifications outlining the desired user experience for a product or service. They go beyond functional requirements, which describe what a system should do, to address how users will interact with and perceive the system. These requirements focus on aspects such as usability, accessibility, desirability, and efficiency.

Developing effective user experience requirements involves understanding the target audience, their needs, goals, and context of use. This is typically achieved through user research methods like interviews, surveys, and persona creation. The resulting requirements should be clear, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) where possible, guiding the design and development process.

Examples of user experience requirements might include statements like "Users should be able to complete the checkout process in under two minutes," or "The application must be navigable by users with visual impairments using a screen reader." They also encompass emotional aspects, such as "Users should feel confident and in control while using the system."

By defining user experience requirements early in the development lifecycle, teams can ensure that the final product not only functions correctly but also provides a positive, intuitive, and satisfying experience for its intended users, ultimately contributing to higher user adoption and satisfaction.
