Jæren

Jæren is a traditional district in Rogaland county, southwestern Norway, along the North Sea coast. It is renowned for its flat, fertile farmland and for a long, sandy coastline. The landscape is dominated by a low-lying plain carved by glacial and littoral processes, with extensive fields flanked by dunes and beaches along the coast. The Jærstrendene, a series of long beaches, stretch along much of the coast, including the popular Solastranden near Sola.
