It refers to the ratio between the actual number of orders placed and the theoretical minimum required to maintain optimal stock levels. The term emphasizes the importance of minimizing unnecessary orders while ensuring that inventory needs are met without excess.

In practice, a high järjestämiskertoja indicates inefficiency, as it suggests that more orders are being placed than necessary, potentially leading to higher costs, increased administrative burden, and potential stockouts or overstocking issues. Conversely, a low ratio suggests a well-optimized ordering system where inventory is managed effectively.

The calculation of järjestämiskertoja involves comparing the actual number of orders placed over a given period to the ideal number of orders derived from demand forecasts and lead times.
