Jälleenrakennus, a Finnish term meaning "reconstruction" or "rebuilding," most commonly refers to the period in Finland following World War II. This era was characterized by the immense task of repairing war damage, resettling displaced populations, and rebuilding the nation's infrastructure and economy. The war had left significant destruction, particularly in the northern and eastern parts of the country due to fighting and the Petsamo concession.
