Járatsrséget

Járatsrséget is a Finnish term that translates to "air traffic accident" or "aviation accident." It refers to any incident involving an aircraft that occurs between the time any person boards the aircraft with the intention of flight until all persons have disembarked, and during which either the aircraft is subjected to a serious incident, or the aircraft is missing, or the aircraft sustains structural damage that impairs its strength, performance, or airworthiness, or its engines fail or are damaged, or any flight control surface is damaged, or any propeller is damaged, or any wing is damaged, or any fuselage is damaged, or any landing gear is damaged, or any fire breaks out in the aircraft, or smoke is detected in the aircraft, or more than one engine fails or is damaged, or the aircraft is forced to make an emergency landing or ditching.

In a broader sense, járatsrséget can also encompass incidents where an aircraft is damaged as a result of collision with another aircraft, or where a person is fatally or seriously injured as a result of being in or coming into contact with any part of the aircraft, or as a result of direct exposure to jet blast, propeller wash, rotor downwash, or rotor downwash. The investigation of such incidents is crucial for understanding the causes and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
