Jordanfloden

The Jordan River, known as the Jordanfloden in Swedish, is a river in the Middle East that flows for 251 kilometers (156 miles) from its headwaters in the north to the Dead Sea in the south. It is a geographically significant and historically important waterway.

The river's source is in the Anti-Lebanon mountains, with its primary tributaries being the Hasbani, Banias, Dan, and Ayoun rivers. These streams converge in northern Israel, forming the main body of the Jordan River. The river then flows south, forming a significant portion of the border between Israel and Jordan. It continues through the Sea of Galilee, a large freshwater lake, before its final stretch leading to its terminus in the Dead Sea, a hypersaline lake.
