In the in-world geography, Jetësën sits at approximately 980 meters above sea level in a forested valley bisected by the river Fleta. The climate is temperate with cold winters and mild summers.

History and governance are described within a consistent fictional chronology. The earliest in-world records place the settlement in the medieval period; a small monastery known as Shën Jor is central to its historical development. By the 19th century it functioned as a local market town, and in the modern era it retains a council-style local governance within the district of Kosa.

Population and society are depicted with a village population around 1,200 residents, mainly farming families. Albanian is the primary language in most depictions, and religious composition varies across texts, commonly described as Orthodox or Catholic in different narratives.
