Jalgpalliväljakud

Jalgpalliväljakud refer to football pitches or soccer fields in Estonian. These are specially prepared areas of grass or artificial turf, marked with white lines, where the sport of football is played. The dimensions and markings of a jalgpalliväljak are standardized according to the rules of the sport, ensuring fair play.

A standard jalgpalliväljak is rectangular. The length can range from 100 to 110 meters for international matches, and 90 to 120 meters for other matches. The width typically ranges from 64 to 75 meters for international matches and 45 to 90 meters for other matches. Key markings include the halfway line, center circle, penalty areas, and goal areas. Goals are placed at the center of each goal line.

Modern jalgpalliväljakud often feature advanced drainage systems and irrigation to maintain optimal playing conditions. Artificial turf fields are also common, offering durability and consistent playability regardless of weather.
