Jahutuskorrid

Jahutuskorrid, often translated as cooling corridors or cold lanes, are a physical arrangement of server racks in data centers. This configuration involves placing racks in rows, with the fronts of the racks facing each other and the backs of the racks facing each other. The goal is to create distinct aisles for airflow management. The "cold aisle" is the space where the front of the racks face, drawing in cool air from the data center's cooling system. The "hot aisle" is the space where the back of the racks face, where the heat generated by the IT equipment is exhausted.

This separation of cold and hot air is a fundamental strategy for improving the efficiency of data center cooling. By preventing the mixing of hot and cold air, the cooling system can deliver conditioned air more effectively to the server inlets and remove the hot exhaust air more efficiently. This can lead to reduced energy consumption for cooling, as the cooling units do not have to work as hard to maintain desired temperatures.

Implementing jahutuskorrid typically involves installing containment systems, such as panels or doors, to further seal the hot and cold aisles. This containment prevents any bypass airflow, ensuring that cool air is directed only to the equipment and hot air is directed back to the cooling units. The effectiveness of this layout is a key consideration in data center design and operational efficiency.
