Iziaslav

Iziaslav is a city in western Ukraine, located in Khmelnytskyi Oblast within the historic region of Volhynia. The settlement's origins date to the medieval period, and the name is commonly associated with the tradition of ruling princes of the Kyivan realm, with Iziaslav figures linked to the city’s early history. Over the centuries, Iziaslav has been part of different political entities, including Kievan Rus, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the Russian Empire, before becoming part of the Ukrainian SSR and later independent Ukraine.
