Ixis

IXis was a French financial services company. It was formed in 2006 through the merger of Natexis Banques Populaires and Ixis Corporate & Investment Bank. The company operated as the corporate and investment banking arm of the Groupe BPCE, one of France's largest banking groups. IXis provided a range of services including corporate finance, capital markets, and asset management to institutional clients. It aimed to be a key player in the European financial market, focusing on its strengths in areas such as structured finance and derivatives.

In 2009, following the global financial crisis and a strategic review by Groupe BPCE, IXis was integrated more closely into the parent group. Its operations were absorbed into Natixis, the main global financial services brand of Groupe BPCE. This integration aimed to streamline operations and enhance the group's overall competitiveness. While the IXis brand ceased to exist as a separate entity, its expertise and business lines continued to contribute to Natixis's offerings in corporate and investment banking. The legacy of IXis is thus found within the broader structure and capabilities of Natixis.
