Ivotnian

Ivotnian refers to the people, language, and culture associated with Ivotia, a fictional region in the central archipelago of the continent of Lhorin. The term is used in ethnographic, linguistic, and cultural contexts within worldbuilding and related fiction.

Ivotia comprises coastal cities and inland highlands. The Ivotnian identity developed through centuries of maritime trade and cultural exchange among communities, culminating in the establishment of the republic of Ivotnia within a loose regional federation.

Ivotnian is an agglutinative language with a subject–object–verb order. It relies on extensive postfix markers to indicate case, tense, mood, and number. The Ivotorsk script, a vowel-friendly writing system, is commonly used in regional inscriptions and education.
