Isoviztes

Isoviztes are a class of chemical compounds that possess unique properties due to their isovitelike structure. In essence, isoviztes are a type of cyclic molecule comprising a central carbon atom flanked by two closely related isovaldehyde or isovaloyl units. This arrangement of atoms gives rise to a robust molecular framework with an isovitelike geometry, leading to the classification.

Isoviztes are generally derived from the condensation of isocyanates or isothiocyanates with other acyl or alkyl derivatives. This process typically involves the coupling of two aldehyde or ketone functionalities, resulting in a highly ordered and symmetric structure.
