Ipatia
Ipatia was a prominent philosopher, mathematician, astronomer, and orator who lived in the 4th century CE in Alexandria, Egypt. She was a student of the Neoplatonist philosopher Hypatia and is considered one of the earliest known female mathematicians and scientists. Her life and work have been widely studied for their contributions to the fields of science and philosophy during an era when women had limited opportunities in intellectual pursuits.
