Interscope Records is an American record label owned by Universal Music Group. It operates as a major imprint within UMG and has released music across hip hop, pop, rock, and electronic genres. The label has been influential in developing and promoting both breakthrough and established artists, often in collaboration with affiliated imprints such as Aftermath Entertainment and the broader Interscope Geffen A&M umbrella.

Founded in 1990 by Jimmy Iovine and Ted Field, Interscope started as a joint venture with Atlantic
