Ingerkövetkezmény

Ingerkövetkezmény is a term used in Hungarian academic language to describe the relationship whereby a triggering stimulus (inger) leads to a consequence (következmény). In psychology and behavior theory: In learning theory, ingerkövetkezmény describes the chain from a stimulus to a response and its ensuing outcome. This framing encompasses both reflexive processes, where a stimulus elicits an automatic response, and voluntary behavior, where the response is followed by a consequence such as reinforcement or punishment. The nature of the consequence influences the likelihood of the response occurring again, shaping future behavior.
