Infrapunajäähdytys, also known as infrared cooling or radiative cooling, is a passive cooling technique that utilizes the Earth's atmosphere as a thermal window to emit heat into outer space. This process relies on the principle that objects at ambient temperature emit thermal radiation, predominantly in the infrared spectrum. Infrapunajäähdytys devices are designed to maximize this emission and minimize heat absorption from the surroundings.

The core components of an infrapunajäähdytys system typically include a radiative surface.
