Inflatorventtiili

Inflatorventtiili, commonly known as an inflation valve, is a device used to introduce gas, typically air, into a confined space such as a tire, balloon, or inflatable object. It is designed to allow gas to enter but prevent it from escaping, ensuring that the object remains inflated. The most common type of inflatorventtiili is the Schrader valve, widely used on vehicle tires. This valve consists of a valve stem with a spring-loaded pin in the center. When the pin is pressed, it opens the valve, allowing gas to flow. A cap is usually placed over the valve to protect it from dirt and moisture and to prevent accidental deflation.

Other types of inflation valves exist, such as the Presta valve, often found on high-performance bicycle tires. Presta valves have a threaded stem and a small nut at the top that must be unscrewed before inflation. This design allows for finer pressure control and is generally considered more efficient for high-pressure applications. The Dunlop valve, also known as a Woods valve, is another type, historically common on bicycles and some other inflatable items. It utilizes a rubber seal that is pressed open by the inflation device. Regardless of the specific design, the fundamental purpose of an inflatorventtiili remains the same: to facilitate controlled inflation of various objects.
