Inertianavigating is a hypothetical concept that describes the act of steering or controlling a craft or vehicle solely through the application of inertial forces, without relying on external propulsion or steering mechanisms. This idea stems from the principles of inertia, specifically Newton's first law of motion, which states that an object in motion will stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.

The theoretical foundation of inertianavigating suggests that by precisely manipulating internal mass distribution or by generating controlled internal accelerations, a vessel could alter its trajectory.
