Induktorite

Induktorite, known in English as inductors, are fundamental passive electronic components. They are primarily characterized by their ability to store electrical energy in a magnetic field when electric current flows through them. This property is known as inductance. Inductors are typically constructed from a coil of wire, often wrapped around a core material. The core can be made of air, iron, ferrite, or other magnetic materials, which influences the inductor's inductance value.

The unit of inductance is the Henry (H), named after American physicist Joseph Henry. When the current flowing through an inductor changes, it induces a voltage across the inductor that opposes this change. This phenomenon is described by Faraday's law of induction and Lenz's law. This opposition to changes in current is a key characteristic that makes inductors useful in various electronic circuits.

Inductors have a wide range of applications. They are commonly used in filters to block or pass certain frequencies, in transformers to step voltage up or down, and in resonant circuits for tuning radio receivers. They are also essential components in power supplies, oscillators, and in systems that require energy storage for pulsed power applications. The specific design and construction of an inductor, including the number of turns, coil geometry, and core material, are chosen based on the intended application and required inductance value.
