Induktiosilmukka, sometimes referred to as an induction loop or hearing loop, is an assistive listening device that transmits audio signals wirelessly to hearing aids or cochlear implants equipped with a telecoil. The system consists of a microphone that picks up sound, an amplifier that boosts the signal, and a loop of wire placed around the perimeter of a room or area.
