Includeheader is a generalized term used to describe the mechanism of inserting header content into a file, program, or document during processing. The header typically contains declarations, metadata, or a reusable layout intended to be shared across multiple components. The exact syntax and behavior depend on the language or framework, but the core idea is to avoid duplication and promote consistency.

In software development, the most common form is including header files in compiled languages. For example, in C and C++, the preprocessor directive #include copies the contents of a header file into the including source file at compile time. This exposes functions, types, and constants defined elsewhere to the compiler. Header guards or #pragma once are commonly used to prevent multiple inclusion and related compilation errors.

In web development and templating, including a header refers to injecting a standard page header into multiple pages. This can be accomplished with server-side includes, template engines, or language features such as PHP include or JavaScript templating. The result is a consistent look and shared metadata across pages, with changes made in one header reflecting everywhere.

General considerations include managing dependencies, minimizing header size, avoiding circular inclusions, and using forward declarations where possible. While includeheader improves maintainability, it can complicate build times and coupling if overused.
