Impetol
Impetol is a brand name for the medication metolazone, a thiazide-like diuretic. It is primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and edema, which is swelling caused by excess fluid in the body. Metolazone works by affecting the kidneys, promoting the excretion of sodium and water, which in turn reduces blood volume and lowers blood pressure. It can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications.
The drug is typically taken orally, once a day. The dosage is determined by the patient's condition
