Imagismo
Imagismo was a literary movement that emerged in the early 20th century, primarily in England and the United States. Its central tenet was the presentation of a clear, precise, and concrete image. Imagist poets sought to move away from the romantic and sentimental traditions of poetry, favoring a more direct and objective approach. They advocated for the use of everyday language, free verse, and conciseness in their work.
The movement was formally established by a manifesto published in the first issue of the journal "Poetry"
While Imagism as a distinct movement was relatively short-lived, its influence on subsequent poetry was significant.
