Ilmingutes

Ilmingutes are a unit of time in the fictional timekeeping system of Ilmara. The ilmingute is the base unit of duration, and time in Ilmara is commonly expressed in ilmingutes, ilm-hours, and ilm-days. In this system, one ilmingute is defined as one Earth minute, making 60 ilmingutes equal to one ilm-hour and 24 ilm-hours equal to one ilm-day. Consequently, an ilm-day contains 1,440 ilmingutes.

The term ilmingute derives from the fictional language of Ilmara, combining ilm- meaning time with the suffix -ingute denoting a small measure. The plural form is ilmingutes.
