Ilmapaine refers to the pressure exerted by the Earth's atmosphere at a given point. It is caused by the weight of the air column above that point. Atmospheric pressure is measured in units such as pascals (Pa), hectopascals (hPa), or millibars (mb). Standard atmospheric pressure at sea level is approximately 1013.25 hPa or 1013.25 millibars.
