ITV2

ITV2 is a British free-to-air television channel owned by ITV plc, part of the ITV network. It targets a young adult audience and offers a mix of entertainment, reality, and comedy programming alongside acquired international series. It is available in the United Kingdom and Ireland via Freeview, Freesat, Sky, Virgin Media, and online through ITVX.

Launched on 7 December 1998, ITV2 was conceived as a companion channel to the ITV network with a focus on lighter, youth-oriented content. Over the years its lineup has shifted with industry trends, incorporating reality formats, game shows, and American imports. The channel also operates ITV2 +1, a one-hour time-shifted service.

Programming typically centers on reality and entertainment shows, including dating and competition formats, as well as repeats of popular ITV programmes. Its flagship series Love Island has been a prominent feature and helped define ITV2's identity in the 2010s and beyond. The channel also airs spin-offs, specials, and acquired programming to fill daytime and primetime slots.
