Internet Explorer 11 (often referred to as IE11) is a web browser developed by Microsoft as the final version of its Internet Explorer series. IE11 was the last major update to the Internet Explorer browser before Microsoft shifted its focus to Microsoft Edge, which is based on the Chromium open-source project.

Microsoft ended support for IE11 on June 16, 2022, marking the end of security updates and technical assistance. The company encouraged users to transition to Microsoft Edge, which offers better performance, security, and compatibility with modern web technologies. IE11 remains available for legacy systems, but users are advised to use it only when necessary due to the lack of ongoing support and potential security risks.
