Höyrynauhoja
Höyrynauhoja, a Finnish term, translates to "steam stripes" or "vapor trails" in English. It most commonly refers to the condensation trails left by aircraft flying at high altitudes. These trails are formed when the hot, humid exhaust from aircraft engines mixes with the extremely cold air of the upper atmosphere. The water vapor in the exhaust rapidly condenses and freezes into ice crystals, creating visible white lines in the sky.
