Hyödyllisyydelle refers to the concept of usefulness or utility. In philosophical and economic contexts, it often relates to the value or benefit derived from an object, action, or policy. The principle of diminishing marginal utility suggests that as a person consumes more of a good, the additional satisfaction from each extra unit tends to decrease.

In ethics, usefulness can be a criterion for moral evaluation.
