Huokosuus

Huokosuus is a Finnish word that translates to porosity in English. It refers to the measure of empty spaces or voids within a material, expressed as a fraction or percentage of the total volume. These voids can be interconnected, allowing for the passage of fluids like water or air, or they can be isolated.

The porosity of a material is a critical property that influences many of its characteristics.
