Hunebeds
Hunebeds, also known as long barrows, are large, often megalithic burial mounds found in the Netherlands and northern Germany. They are a type of prehistoric burial monument that dates back to the Bronze Age, around 3000 BCE. Hunebeds are characterized by their large, rectangular or square chambers, typically covered by a capstone or a series of capstones. The chambers are usually lined with large stones, and the burial mounds themselves can be quite extensive, sometimes covering several hectares.
