Horney
Karen Horney was a German psychoanalyst who challenged many of Sigmund Freud's original theories. Born in 1885, she initially trained in Freud's psychoanalytic tradition but later developed her own distinct approach. She is best known for her work on neurotic anxiety and her theory of interpersonal relationships as the root of psychological distress.
