Holanan is a fictional city in the southern coastal region of Darune, within the imagined world of Eldoria. The name is said to derive from Holan, a river deity in local lore. Geographically, Holanan sits on the delta of the Ono River, with mangrove fringes, tidal flats, and a tropical monsoon climate. The city has a harbor that handles fishing boats and small cargo vessels.

History: Established in the 11th century by the Holan clan as a trading post, Holanan grew through riverine commerce and coastal fleets. It became the seat of a local prefecture during the medieval era and remained a regional center after modernization.

Demographics: The population is around 42,000, with Holan descendants forming the majority and other ethnic groups contributing to a diverse community. The dominant language is Holan, with minority speakers of Daruan and other local languages. Religious practice is pluralistic, including traditional animist rites, Islam, Buddhism, and secular traditions.
