Hoitaj
Hoitaj is not a formal Finnish job title. The standard term for a person who provides care is hoitaja, meaning a caregiver or nurse. In some everyday or dialectal usage, or in older texts, the form hoitaj may appear as a nonstandard variant or misspelling, but it is not typically used as an official designation. The term may also appear as part of names or in foreign-language texts, where the root care concept is recognizable.
A hoitaja or, in the nonstandard form, a hoitaj, is described as someone who offers practical care
Work environments for formal caregivers include hospitals, long-term care facilities, residential care homes, and home-care services.
Education and qualification requirements vary by country. In Finland, the closest official role is the lähihoitaja
