Hlutverkastjórnun

Hlutverkastjórnun, often translated as role management or role-based access control (RBAC), is a security concept that allows organizations to grant or deny access to specific resources based on the roles assigned to users. Instead of assigning permissions directly to individual users, administrators define roles, and then assign those roles to users. Each role is then granted a set of permissions, such as read, write, or delete access to particular files, databases, or applications.
