Hitmonlee is a Fighting-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is known for its powerful kicking abilities and lean, muscular physique. Hitmonlee evolves from Tyrogue when its Attack stat is higher than its Defense stat. It is the final evolution in its evolutionary line, with Tyrogue evolving into Hitmonchan if its Defense stat is higher than its Attack stat, or into Hitmontop if its stats are equal.

Hitmonlee's body is characterized by long, powerful legs that are its primary weapon. Its legs are said to be capable of stretching to incredible lengths, allowing it to deliver devastating kicks from a distance. It has a red, segmented body with yellow arms. Its eyes are typically depicted as white with black pupils. Hitmonlee is a Pokémon that trains rigorously, honing its kicking techniques through constant practice. It is known to inhabit mountainous regions and can often be found training on steep cliffs.

In battle, Hitmonlee excels at physical offense. Its signature move is Hi Jump Kick, a powerful kicking attack that can cause recoil if missed. Other notable moves include Blaze Kick, Close Combat, and Mach Punch. Its ability, Limber, prevents it from being paralyzed, further enhancing its combat prowess. Its counterpart, Hitmonchan, is known for its punching abilities, while Hitmonlee focuses entirely on kicking. This specialization makes them distinct yet complementary Pokémon.
