Hiranos

Hiranos refers to a group of characters within the popular manga and anime series "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya." These characters are members of the SOS Brigade, a club founded by the titular Haruhi Suzumiya. The primary members, aside from Haruhi herself, are Kyon, the narrator and only human member, Yuki Nagato, a silent humanoid interface from the data realm, Mikuru Asahina, a time traveler from the future, and Itsuki Koizumi, an esper with abilities to manipulate "closed spaces." The name "Hiranos" is a portmanteau derived from the given names of these core SOS Brigade members, specifically Haruhi, Yuki, Mikuru, and Itsuki, often pronounced or written in a way that reflects this combination. Their interactions and adventures form the central narrative of the series, as Haruhi, unaware of her reality-altering powers, seeks out supernatural and extraordinary phenomena, while the other Hiranos members work to either appease her desires or contain the consequences of her subconscious actions.
