Hiperhidrációt

Hiperhidrációt refers to a condition characterized by excessive sweating. This can manifest as generalized hyperhidrosis, affecting the entire body, or focal hyperhidrosis, localized to specific areas such as the palms, soles, underarms, or face. The condition is often categorized as primary hyperhidrosis, which has no identifiable underlying medical cause and typically begins in adolescence, or secondary hyperhidrosis, which is a symptom of another medical condition, medication side effect, or physiological change.

Causes of secondary hyperhidrosis can include hormonal imbalances, infections, certain cancers, neurological disorders, and medications like antidepressants or fever reducers. Symptoms of primary hyperhidrosis include visible sweating that is not triggered by heat or exercise, and sweating that disrupts daily activities. Diagnosis is usually based on a medical history and physical examination.

Treatment options vary depending on the type and severity of hyperhidrosis. For primary hyperhidrosis, topical antiperspirants containing aluminum chloride are often the first line of treatment. Other options include oral medications such as anticholinergics, iontophoresis, botulinum toxin injections, and in severe cases, surgical interventions like sympathectomy. Secondary hyperhidrosis is managed by addressing the underlying cause. While not a life-threatening condition, hyperhidrosis can significantly impact a person's quality of life due to social embarrassment and physical discomfort.
