Hermovauriota

Hermovauriota is a subclass of dinosaurs that includes the largest known land animals to have ever existed. This subclass is characterized by its long necks, small heads, and large bodies, which were adapted for browsing on low vegetation. Hermovauriota is further divided into two main groups: the sauropodomorphs and the sauropods. Sauropodomorphs are the earliest members of Hermovauriota, and they include the early sauropods as well as other herbivorous dinosaurs that are not closely related to sauropods. Sauropods, on the other hand, are the most well-known members of Hermovauriota. They are distinguished by their long necks, small heads, and four-legged bodies, which were adapted for browsing on low vegetation. The most famous sauropods include Brachiosaurus, Diplodocus, and Apatosaurus. Hermovauriota is believed to have originated in the Late Triassic period, around 228 million years ago, and they became extinct along with the non-avian dinosaurs at the end of the Cretaceous period, around 66 million years ago. The exact cause of their extinction is still a topic of debate among scientists, but it is believed to be related to a combination of factors, including climate change, volcanic activity, and the impact of a large asteroid.
